The organisers of Big Brother Naija All Stars season have finally confirmed it has scrapped the jury.
It had used the jury for previous evictions.
The announcement was made on its verified Facebook page and read:
“#BBNaija geng, There’s no jury, so you have the power to save your fave housemate from this Sunday’s eviction.”
The decision is coming weeks after the reality show’s organisers continued to come under heavy criticism for the eviction process.
The introduction of the jury system which gives a group of former housemates the power to make crucial decisions about the contestants’ fate in this year’s All Stars edition has significantly shaped the show.
The likes of Princess, Uriel, and Kidwayya have been evicted from the show as a result of these decisions. Some of the jury members were Bisola, Mike, Vee, Elozonam, and Diane, among others.
Announcing the dropping of the jury system, the organisers via the Big Brother official Facebook page wrote, “#BBNaija geng, There’s no jury, so you have the power to save your fave housemate from this Sunday’s eviction.
As a result of the elimination of the jury system, the power to save housemates from eviction now lies entirely in the hands of their fans through voting.
