Today, we will look at 5 of the most famous places that no longer exist. Maybe you even visited one of them once!
You could have witnessed the natural wonder of the Pink and White New Zealand terraces if you were alive a couple centuries ago. These magnificent terrace pools originated as geothermal sources erupted, resulting in the gradual buildup of naturally occurring pink and white silica in the water.
Unfortunately, the pink and white terraces were destroyed in 1886 when the area erupted and was engulfed by Mount Tarawera, a neighboring volcano. However, other researchers believe that portions of the decks are still submerged on the lake level.
