Man, Pat is one “hell” of a multi-faceted woman. Pattie is many things all rolled into one incredible personality. She’s a mother, a daughter, a friend, a wife, an entrepreneur, an actress, an activist, a model, a fashionista, a movie producer, a philanthropist, and a mentor.

She’s the CEO of her organization, Treasure You, an NGO that educates women on beauty and fashion. She’s also the ex-wife of the famous comedian Martins Lawrence and Emmitt Smith, an ex-Dallas Cowboys footballer and a starred football Hall of Famer. Pattie was once Virginia’s beauty queen.
As earlier said, she’s very into fashion and loves to read magazines like ‘Elle’ and ‘Vogue to stay ahead with all the latest fashion trends. One can say that she’s also a shopaholic, as she goes shopping for clothes multiple times every week.

Mrs Smith holds an American nationality along with a mixed ethnicity. Emmitt Smith’s Ex-wife, Patricia, belongs to an Afro-American ethnic descent. She is a follower of the Christian religion. Her sexuality is straight.
She grew up and was raised with her biological parents, Henry and Mildred Southall, alongside her twin sister, Pam Southall.
She attended Western Branch High School and later became a journalist graduate of James Madison University. She is an African American and holds American citizenship.
Patty began modeling at University, where she was crowned Miss Virginia USA in late 1993. She also represented Virginia in the Miss USA 1994 Pageant, where she became the runner-up.

Patricia got married to a man called Martin Lawrence in the year 1992, who is now her ex-husband. In 1995, they married and had one child called Jasmine Page Lawrence. The marriage had so many complications, which led to their in 1997.
Lawrence has appeared in about 50 movies and TV series, and he’s perhaps still known as the best for having starred in Martin Payne in the romantic comedy series.
 On April 22, 2000, she met another man who was a football star, Emmitt Smith and got married to him.
They have three children: Emmitt James Smith, lV, Elijah Alexander James Smith, and Skyler Smith. Patricia is also a stepmother to Rheagen Smith, Smith’s daughter, with ex-girlfriend Hope Wilson.

Pattie’s twin sister, Pamela Southall, died on November 26, 2022, at the ripe age of 59.
On September 4, 2018, Pam was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer. She was hospitalized on September 10th. She remained in the rehabilitation center and hospital for 55 days, receiving colleen surgeries throughout that period.
Following her diagnosis, Pam lived for only four years before she died.

Pattie and Martin met in the hit summer of 1992 when Pattie was working for L. Douglas Wilder, who was the then Governor of the state of Virginia. Martin was one of the guest comedians at a concert being held in Virginia, so that was how the two met.
Martin and Pattie immediately had a connection that soon became very intimate, and then they began dating, and they got married in 1995. but unfortunately for them, their marriage didn’t last, and they ended it just two years later, in 1997.
During their marriage, Pattie and Martin had a child together, a girl named Jasmine Page Lawrence, born on 15 January 1996. No one really knows the reason for their divorce, and the pair have managed to keep the matter so hidden it can’t see the light of day. Martin went on to marry a new wife, Shamicka Gibbs, and Pattie married Emmitt Smith.
Emmitt Smith
Emmitt Smith is a big name in the sport (football) industry as he is an ex-NFL (National Football League). he was a professional running back. He had a very successful career during his years in the NFL and played for several teams, such as the Arizona Cardinals and the Dallas Cowboys. He’s also received several awards.
Pattie and Emmit met in 1998 at a music festival in Aruba, and just like with Martin, the pair has strong chemistry and immediately started dating, upgrading their long-distance romance into a short and very permanent one.
They dated for two years, and sooner, the couple walked down the aisle on 22 April 2000, and in the month of May in the same year, the couple had their first child. They later progressed to have three beautiful children.
As of 2023, their first child, E.J. Smith, is 23 years old, and just like his father, he is playing football at the University of Standford as a running back. Their first daughter, Skylar, came on October 15, 2003, and just like her brother, she’s in college as well.
Elijah Alexander James Smith, Pattie and Emmitt’s third child, was born on September 22, 2010. the cute little boy is now 13 years old. Pattie and Emmitt have kids from their previous marriage; Pattie had a daughter with Martin named Jasmine Page Lawrence, and Emmitt had a daughter with his ex-wife, Rheagan Smith, making the couple have a total of five kids, living together as one big happy family.
