The stepdaughters on joy prime episode 76, We started with Grandma Felly getting Mayumi arrested. Francis asked why his grandmother didn’t tell him about her plans. Grandma Felly said that she knew Francis wouldn’t agree.

They were interrupted by the nurses who rushed to Froilan’s room. The doctor tried to resuscitate him but he did not make it. He was pronounced dead and the doctor explained to Francis and Grandma Felly that Froilan died of cardia arrest.

They both found it suspicious that Froilan died of a heart attack when he didn’t have any heart problems and was already recovering from the gunshot wound. The doctor offered to conduct an autopsy and Francis agreed. Grandma Felly however blamed Mayumi for Froilan’s death and got her arrested.

Luisa had gone with Grace to visit Froilan at the hospital but Sasha called to tell them that he died. Luisa was sad to hear the news because Froilan was the one who helped her go back to her family. She wanted to pay her respects but it was not safe so they went back home.

Daphne fought with Mylene, thinking that she was the woman who had gone to visit Hernan at the retreat. Hernan found them fighting and stopped them. He questioned whether Daphne was really sick and she gave him an excuse. Hernan said that he wouldn’t forgive her if he found out she was lying to him.
Isabelle called Daphne to tell her that she already took care of Froilan. Daphne was sad because she and Froilan had been through a lot together. She however agreed with Isabelle because Froilan had threatened their plans.

When Luisa found out that Mayumi was arrested, she called Hernan and asked for his help. Hernan hired a lawyer for Mayumi and got her released on bail. When Grandma Felly went to the police station, she was not happy to see Mayumi free. She gave Francis an ultimatum to to cut off ties with her or lose her as her family. Mayumi told Francis that he did not have to choose because it was better that they break up. She walked out and Francis followed her. Francis tried to reason with her but Mayumi said it was not the right time for them to be together.

At Froilan’s wake, Grandma Felly asked if Francis was upset with her because he broke up with Mayumi. Francis told her that it was unfair to blame Mayumi because everything was Isabelle’s fault. Francis said it felt as if his grandmother was blaming him too because he was the one who brought Mayumi into their lives. Grandma Felly said she never thought to blame him but it seemed he cared more about Mayumi than his own family. They made amends later as Francis said Froilan would not like to see them fighting.

Hernan called Luisa and asked her out for dinner. Daphne overheard their conversation and followed Hernan. She was shocked to see him with Luisa and feigned happiness over seeing her alive and well. Luisa accused Daphne of sending her men to kill her and Mayumi. Daphne did not deny it but blamed everything on Isabelle. She said she was sorry about what happened and Luisa said she could forgive those who truly repented. She then asked Daphne to leave her and Hernan alone to continue their date.

Luisa was a bit shaken after Daphne left. She was afraid she would continue to hurt her. Hernan said he would protect Luisa and never allow Daphne to hurt her again.

Isabelle and Daphne asked Jigs about Luisa. They asked him why she was still alive but he insisted that Luisa was dead. He could not explain it but demanded for his payment from Isabelle and refused to leave. Daphne told Isabelle not to worry because she would deal with Luisa.

Luisa moved into Hernan’s house with Mayumi, Grace and Jenjen. Grace and Daphne pretended not to know each other. Mayumi asked Daphne about Isabelle and she said that she would relay Mayumi’s regards when she talked to Isabelle. Daphne also thanked Luisa for letting her stay at the house.
