Bayern Munich chief, Oliver Kahn, has suggested why the club signed Sadio Mane from Liverpool.
Bayern Munich officially confirmed the signing of Mane from Liverpool on Wednesday.
Mane joined the Bundesliga champions on a three-year deal from Premier League giants Liverpool.
In a tweet via his Twitter handle on Wednesday, Kahn said Mane’s great successes at the international level made Bayern sign him.
He tweeted: “We are happy that we could win Sadio #Mané for the @FCBayern.
“Thanks to his outstanding performances and his great successes at the top international level, he has been a player for many years that is very rare in the world.”
Mane recently won the Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, with the Senegal national team and qualified them for this year’s FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
