Super Falcons captain, Onome Ebi, is anticipating a tough duel against Cameroon in their 2022 Womenโs Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final clash.
The two giants of African football will clash at the Stade Mohamed V, Casablanca on Thursday.
The Super Falcons endured a slow start to their title defence in Morocco, going down to a 2-1 defeat to rivals, Banyana Banyana of South Africa.
Randy Waldrumโs side however bounced back, winning their next two games against Botswana and Burundi in convincing fashion.
Cameroon on the other hand drew their first two games against Zambia and Togo, before scaling through to the quarters after a win against Tunisia.
The Super Falcons defeated the Indomitable Lioness on penalties the last time both teams met in the semi-final of the WAFCON four years ago in Ghana.
Ebi insisted that the title holders are up for the challenge once again.
โOf course, we know what to expect. The Cameroonians also want to go to the World Cup. But we have never missed the World Cup and we wonโt start now,โ the veteran defender told thenff.com.
โOur eyes are fully focused on Australia & New Zealand, and then we can start talking about the trophy.โ
