Porto manager, Sergio Conceicao has said left-back Zaidu Sanusi will be assessed after he sustained an Injury in the club’s UEFA Champions League clash against Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday.
Sanusi was replaced after the break by Wendell following the setback.
Conceicao suggested that the Nigerian must have sustained a muscle injury in the game.
The Portuguese further claimed that the defender would be re-evaluated to ascertain the severity of the injury.
“João Mário left due to tiredness. Zaidu may have a muscle problem and we thought he shouldn’t be in the second half, but when we arrive in Porto he will be re-evaluated,” the gaffer was quoted by the club’s official website.
Porto scored three first-half goals to win the tie 3-1.
