Transfer: Onuachu promises to help new club, Trabzonspor win league title

Paul Onuachu has expressed his desire to make a big impact at Turkish Super Lig club, Trabzonspor.

Onuachu completed his loan move to the former Turkish Lig champions on Monday.

The 29-year-old had a difficult six-month spell at Sky Bet Championship club, Southampton following his arrival from KRC Genk in January.

The Nigeria international failed to register a goal in 12 league appearances for the Saints.

Onuachu promised to give his best and help Trabzonspor win the league title.

“You could see the welcome from fans at the airport, it was crazy,”he told the club’s official website.

“It makes me think ok, this is really a football city, I’m really happy they came because it shows that they give a lot of support to the players here in Trabzon.

“I’m here to fight for the badge, to win the championship and reach our target.”
