Chelsea legend Tony Cascarino has hailed Newscastle over their performance in the transfer market so far this summer.
Cascarino said he is impressed by Newcastle’s transfer business since the club’s new owners arrived.
According to him, the Magpies, who avoided relegation last season, are not engaged in vanity signings.
He told talkSPORT: “Do you know what has impressed me about Newcastle? There have been no vanity signings.
“They’re all signings that have been done for a purpose.
“There has been no vanity signings. Eddie Howe just wants to buy really good players that fit the DNA that he thinks suit Newcastle.”
