Rangers forward Cyriel Dessers has said he could not understand criticisms that have trailed his performance since he arrived at the club.
The Nigeria international has incurred the wrath of fans and pundits for his unimpressive displays for the Light Blues.
The 28-year-old arrived with a huge reputation from Italian club Cremonese in the summer.
Dessers has managed just three goals in 10 league outings for the Gers.
The striker admitted that some of the criticisms have made him laugh.
“Some reactions even make me laugh. First of all, I think many people underestimate what it is like to move to another country,” Dessers told the Daily Record.
“My stats this season are not bad, but I don’t think it is great either. Before the season, I set a goal of 25 goal contributions, so I’m on target in that regard.”
Dessers is expected to be in action when Philippe Clement’s side take on Hearts on Sunday afternoon (today).
