PSG sporting advisor, Luis Campos has provided an update on talks about Lionel Messi’s future at the French capital club.
Messi will run out of contract at the Parc des Princes at the end of the current season and reports in France suggest the 35-year-old does not want to extend his stay at the club.
The 2022 World Cup winner, who left Barcelona as a free agent and settled in Paris in 2021, has scored 15 goals and provided 14 assists in 24 matches across all competitions.
The Ligue1 champions and league leaders want the 35-year-old to remain at the club and help them win their first Champions League title and Campos confirmed talks are ongoing between the player and the hierarchy.
Campos told Telefoot: “We are in discussion. I would like to have him in this project, so that he continues with us. I will be delighted that he continues with us.”
