NPFL congratulates Insurance, urges Enyimba, Remo Stars to win

Chairman of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), Gbenga Elegbeleye has congratulated Bendel Insurance for their victory in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The Benin Arsenals defeated Algerian side ASO Chlef 4-3 on penalties to reach the next round of the competition.

Elegbeleye described the win as another confirmation of the resurgence of the domestic league.

He enjoined Enyimba and Remo Stars to replicate the feat in the CAF Champions league tie today.

The NPFL Champions will lock horns with Al Ahli Benghazi at the Enyimba Stadium, Aba, while Remo Stars will battle Medeama SC in Ikenne.

Both teams need to win convincingly to progress to the next stage of the competition.
