Al-Nassr captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, has admitted that his expectations for the team were different this season after they went trophyless.
Ronaldo, who scored 14 goals and provided two assists in 19 games for Al-Nassr, said he expected to win a trophy with the club this year.
The former Manchester United attacker stated this while speaking with the Saudi Pro League’s official media.
“My expectation was a little bit different. To be honest, I expected to win something this year. But not always the way things go the way we want,” Ronaldo said.
“Sometimes we need patience, consistency and persistence to achieve things.
“I expected to win something this year, but we didn’t. But, next year, I am really positive and confident that things will change and we will do better. So, let’s believe in that and work on that.”
