Manchester United have set up a new office adjacent to the World Economic Forum in Switzerland.

The club’s co-chairman, Avram Glazer, is said to be a regular at the Davos ski resort next to this new office and will arrive there later this week. CEO Richard Arnold and legendary goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel are set to host a special evening for guests on Tuesday.

However, United have insisted that this space is purely to meet current clients and club partners, and ‘definitely not’ to entertain prospective buyers.

A club statement read: “Manchester United is proud to be the first sports team to partner with the World Economic Forum.

“Our global community of 1.1 billion fans and followers provide us with powerful opportunities to engage across cultural and geographical boundaries. We are in Davos to explore ways to maximise the impact of the extraordinary reach.”

United revealed in November 2022 they were exploring new investment and potentially a full sale. Reports in recent weeks have suggested that a number of major bids will be lodged for the club in the near future.

However, links with PSG owners QSI – who are looking to invest in a Premier League club – are believed to be wide of the mark. While reports suggest QSI are targeting Tottenham, 90min understands Leeds are also under consideration.
