Jesse Lingard is continuing to train with West Ham United but has received offers from Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and MLS, 90min understands.

The 30-year-old has been training with the Hammers for a number of weeks to maintain his fitness levels, with the possibility of returning to London Stadium on a short-term contract firmly on the table.

Lingard previously enjoyed a successful loan spell with West Ham during the second half of the 2020/21 season, scoring nine goals in 16 Premier League games, but opted to return to Manchester United in a bid to fight for a first-team place at Old Trafford.

That never came to fruition and Lingard left the following season to join Nottingham Forest on a one-year deal, despite West Ham’s interest in taking him back to the capital. He was released in the summer after failing to score in 17 Premier League games.

Now a free agent, Lingard is looking for his next opportunity. 90min understands that his arrangement to train with West Ham is with a view to offering him a short-term contract, though any offer made by the Conference League winners will be heavily incentivised.

“Jesse has been training with us for three weeks and he has improved greatly since he first came in – he is in really good condition, much better than when he came in,” West Ham boss David Moyes told talkSPORT this week when asked about Lingard.

“When Jesse joined us a couple of years ago he had that great run of form and probably he made the difference for us getting into Europe for the first time. So I want to give him a real opportunity to get back into condition and see how he does.

“He is back and getting much closer to the level of fitness we hoped he would be at.”

90min understands that Everton and Burnley have also shown interest in signing Lingard, but if he stays in England it will be to join West Ham. He could still be tempted abroad, however, with sources confirming that more lucrative offers are on the table from Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and MLS.

Galatasaray and Fenerbahce, two of the biggest clubs in Turkey, have held talks with Lingard’s representatives, while Al Shabab and Al Ettifaq, the latter of whom are managed by Steven Gerrard, are interested in taking him to the Saudi Pro League.
