Silva has just 18 months left on the three-year deal he signed when succeeding Scott Parker following the club’s relegation to the Championship, having previously had spells in charge of Everton, Watford and Hull.

Silva guided Fulham to the Championship title as they dominated in the second tier, and he has now has the club riding high in the Premier League’s top six after a brilliant 2-1 win over big-spending neighbours Chelsea.

Fulham are firmly on course to avoid relegation for the first time in three promotions, and have accumulated more points after 19 games this season than they did during the entire 2020/21 campaign.

90min understands that Fulham are keen to reward Silva’s outstanding work with a new contract, knowing that the club’s progress under the Portuguese has not gone unnoticed elsewhere in the Premier League.

Indeed, Fulham believe that extending Silva’s stay is crucial to their project in both the short and long-term, and there’s hope that the 45-year-old will want to put pen to paper on a new deal after a sustained run of fantastic results.
