Former Manchester United star, Roy Keane has said that Arsenal players are going to be down a few days after their FA Cup defeat to Manchester City on Friday.
The Gunners suffered an FA Cup exit in the hands of their closest title contenders this season, falling 1-0 in the second half through defender, Nathan Ake.
Mikel Arteta’s team could still win three trophies this season as they are still very much in the Carabao Cup, Europa League and five-point leaders of the England top-flight.
Keane also noted that should the Gunners win the league eventually, they would say they sacrificed the FA Cup for it.
“Looking at the starting line-up you could sense that this was not their priority. They want to get that Premier League title.
“But I know the players are going to be down for the next few days as they don’t want to get beat.
“They’ll recover and if they go on to win the league, they’ll say they had to sacrifice this game,” he said.
