Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has explained the reason for Erling Haaland’s absence against Liverpool.
Haaland is not in the City squad for the game at the Etihad.
Guardiola has now confirmed that he didn’t want to take a risk with the Norway striker, who missed the international break.
“He is much, much better but not fully fit for today. He didn’t feel good.
“With thought, we said, ‘no risk’.
“During the season you have these types of problems, with injuries.
“The only we can do is complain but we have never done it. So now the other players are going to play,” Guardiola said.
