Manchester United legend, Roy Keane, has said that Arsenal should be delighted after playing a 2-2 draw with Liverpool in Sunday’s Premier League tie because they got a great point at Anfield.
Arsenal and Liverpool drew on Sunday evening, thanks to goals from Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino.
However, while the draw against Liverpool means the Premier League title race is now in Manchester City’s hands, given they have a game advantage and Arsenal to come at home [Etihad Stadium], Keane says the Gunners should see it as a point gained.
“Arsenal should be delighted with the point,” Keane told Sky Sports.
“I really do. I know people will say, look at the picture and that [Manchester] City are back in control of it, but I think it was a great point for Arsenal.
“I know they were two-nil up and you could say they were comfortable, but in the last 15 minutes, when you are hanging in there, against Liverpool, in front of the Kop you have got to be grateful for what you get out of the place and that is a point. Be thankful for it.”
