Christian Eriksen is yet to finalize his move to Manchester United, because the club wants to “be more rigorous in the medical”.
This is according to Sky Sports News senior reporter, Melissa Reddy.
Eriksen is currently a free agent after his short-term deal with Brentford expired June 30.
However, before he signed for the Bees, the Denmark midfielder had suffered a cardiac arrest while playing for his country last year at the European Championships.
It led to Eriken staying clubless for a while, after Inter Milan terminated his contract due to stipulations in Italian football.
“Christian Eriksen is the one Manchester United expect will next get done. There’s a verbal agreement in place between him and the club.
“United say there’s no delays, but given his history with the cardiac arrest at Euro 2020, you have to be more rigorous in the medical.
“There’s positivity, everything will be fine. United are confident Eriksen will form part of their pre-season plans in Australia. That is one that is very close,” Reddy said.
