Manchester United are “the opposite” of Tottenham, says Gary Neville as the club legend listed the many ways in which Spurs are better positioned than the crisis club.
United hit a new low on Saturday as they collapsed to a 4-0 defeat at Brentford, with all four goals coming in the first half.
The result leaves United bottom of the Premier League table, with new manager Erik ten Hag having lost both of his first two games in charge.
During the game, old quotes of Neville’s surfaced in which he said Spurs boss Antonio Conte would not be a good fit at United.
Speaking on Sky Sports after the game, pundit Jamie Redknapp recalled those quotes, telling Neville: “You didn’t want to touch him, but he would have come in and got those players in a better shape than they are now.”
The conversation went on to the Spurs owner Daniel Levy amid Neville’s ongoing criticism of the Glazers’ ownership of United.

Speaking about Levy: “He has built an unbelievable stadium that people want to come and play in – the best in the world – he’s got the best training ground in the country, he’s appointed a fantastic sporting director who knows what he’s doing and he’s now got a manager who suits what they want to do at this moment in time.
“Manchester United are the opposite of that.”
Tottenham face Chelsea on Sunday looking to return to the top of the Premier League, while bottom-of-the-table United next face Liverpool.
