Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola has blamed his team’s defeat to Tottenham on Sunday to their long journey to London.
According to the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss, it was exhausting making the four hours journey to London from Manchester City.
Manchester City suffered a disappointing defeat at the hands of Tottenham on Sunday while they expected to close the gap between them and Arsenal to two points.
The defeat made Arsenal’s 1-0 defeat to Everton on Saturday almost insignificant as the Gunners kept the five-point lead over Pep Guardiola’s side.
Harry Kane’s first half effort separated the both sides and City will now return to winning ways when they face Aston Villa in their next game.
Addressing the press after the defeat, the Spaniard said, “We try to continue to do it and improve the things that will help us in the future.
“But we go back to Manchester. Coming to London is like going to, I don’t know, northern Europe. It is 4 hours 20 minutes, 4 hours and a half to get to a hotel.
“It’s so exhausting to come to London, I’m sorry. We need to come back to Manchester and prepare for the game against Aston Villa.”
