Manchester United boss, Erik ten Hag has singled out Anthony Martial for praise after their disappointing 3-1 defeat to Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday.
The manager hailed the performance of Martial despite a largely forgettable day for the Frenchman.
Manchester United were downed 3-1 by the Gunners despite them taking the lead in the first half.
Many supporters of both teams had walked out of the Stadium, believing it was ending as the clock ticked past 90 minutes, but Declan Rice and Gabriel Jesus’ goals deep into injury time gave Mikel Arteta’s side all three points.
Martial, who was largely anonymous in the game, was replaced by debutant, Rasmus Hojlund in the 67th minute.
The Dutch gaffer spoke about Hojlund’s performance, and also hailed Martial.
“I think he played very good but I also think Martial had a good performance.
“I think Rasmus Hojlund had a very good impact on the game,” said the Dutchman.
