Former Arsenal player, Adrian Clarke wants manager, Mikel Arteta to feature striker Eddie Nketiah in his side’s starting XI that will take on Fulham in Saturday’s Premier League tie at the Emirates Stadium.
Nketiah put in a brilliant performance in Arsenal’s last Premier League 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Monday.
The 24-year-old won a penalty for Arsenal against Palace which captain Martin Odegaard scored from the spot.
Nketiah has so far featured in Arsenal’s first two Premier League fixtures of the season against Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace in Gabriel Jesus’ absence.
“For the penalty, Eddie [Nketiah] effectively won us the game, I know Odegaard scored us the goal, but Eddie won us the game with that piece of movement to win the penalty,” Clarke said (via TBR).
“He is playing on Saturday, he is playing on Saturday, there is no way you [Arteta] can leave him out after that performance.”
