Former Barcelona striker, Gary Lineker, has hailed Jude Bellingham after the midfielder scored a brace in Real Madrid’s La Liga El Clasico 2-1 win over Barcelona on Saturday.
A brace from Bellingham gave Carlo Ancelotti’s side all three points against Barcelona as İlkay Gundogan’s goal was not enough to give the host a point.
Bellingham had equalized for Madrid after Gundogan’s first half early goal.
However, the England international scored a late goal in injury time to give the Los Blancos the victory over the Blaugrana.
Reacting to Bellingham’s display, Lineker, in a tweet on X, said: “He’s only gone and grabbed another in the 92nd minute. “@BellinghamJude is just phenomenal!”
The victory over Xavi’s men means Real Madrid are now top of the La Liga table with goal difference ahead of second position Girona.
Both Real Madrid and Girona have 28 points each after eleven matches.
Barcelona, meanwhile, sits in third position with 24 points from eleven matches.
