Kwara United head coach, Kabiru Dogo, has blamed tiredness for his side’s friendly defeat against Sunshine Stars on Wednesday.
Kwara United suffered a 2-1 defeat against the Owena Waves at the Kwara State Stadium, Ilorin.
Dogo stated that his players are tired after a pre-season tour of Benin Republic.
He assured that the team will be ready before the start of the 2023-24 Nigeria Professional Football League season.
A date for the new NPFL season is yet to be announced after it was postponed indefinitely.
“We just came back from Benin Republic on a pre-season tour. The boys are tired because of the rigours of the tour.
“What I have are young players and we are still a work in progress,” Dogo stated.
