Premier League manager, Antonio Conte, is reportedly interested in replacing Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid amid growing doubts over the latter’s tenure in charge at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Ancelotti’s current contract with Real Madrid will expire in 2024, but his team are encountering a difficult 2022/23 campaign so far.
Real Madrid hierarchy are questioning Ancelotti’s future at the club as Los Blancos have slipped to second in the title race, trailing La Liga leaders Barcelona by six points, having played one match less.
According to El Nacional, Real Madrid Florentino Perez has already started looking for a potential replacement for Ancelotti.
Conte, who is currently the head coach of Tottenham Hotspur, could be an option, and the former Juventus boss would be open to succeeding Ancelotti.
He is enduring a troublesome spell at Spurs and there is an expectation that his tenure will end as his contract expires at the end of the season.
