CAF Champions League: Enyimba return to warm welcome from Kanu

Enyimba Chairman, Nwankwo Kanu was on ground at the Sam Mbakwe Airport, Owerri, to receive the team from Algeria.

The People’s Elephant returned to their base after their impressive performance at the CAF Champions League first leg encounter against Al Ahli Benghazi.

Kanu, who welcomed the players and coaches, commended them for putting up a good fight at the Martyrs of Benina Stadium last Sunday.

The former African footballer of the year assured the team of the club’s support and encouraged them to go all out for the spoils in the return fixture.

The second leg is billed for the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba, on Sunday.

The Finidi George tutored side will focus on upturning a 4-3 deficit to advance to the next round of the CAF Champions League.
