Disturbed by the poor performance of Warri Wolves in recent seasons, the management of the club has revealed plans to recruit quality players to ensure the team’s promotion to the elite league.
Warri Wolves’ Head Coach, Jolomi Atune, said, on Monday, that his target is to recruit the best players that can prosecute the job for him without sentiments.
To this end, Atune has urged the club’s fans to support the team, saying that players and management’s motivation is paramount if the club will bounce back to reckoning.
“Our target is to return Warri Wolves to the Nigeria Football Professional League (NPFL), where it belongs.
“Warri Wolves is a sellable brand that need the best players to compete in the league against other clubs. We must have the right players, right structure and juicy motivation that brings joy to do what we do best,” he said.
Atune, who left 2021 NPFL champions, Akwa United, to Head Warri Wolves, said he is equipped to manage the team after serving as an assistant coach to Paul Aigbogun in the glory days of the Seasiders (2015/16 season) when they represented Nigeria in the CAF Champions League.
