Aaron Ramsdale is not contemplating leaving Arsenal despite being dropped for their most recent Premier League outing, sources have confirmed to 90min.

Summer signing David Raya made his debut for the Gunners in Sunday’s 1-0 win away to Everton, with Ramsdale named as a substitute instead.

Raya joined the club this summer on an initial season-long loan from Brentford for £3m, with Arsenal retaining a £27m purchase clause which is expected to be triggered.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has stressed that wants competition for places across all positions and even suggested that he could change his goalkeepers mid-match in order to change the flow of a game.

Nevertheless, Ramsdale’s relegation to the bench has fuelled speculation that he could leave the Emirates Stadium.

90min understands that Ramsdale is not looking to leave Arsenal and is determined to battle Raya for the starting spot.

Ramsdale’s representatives have not held talks with other clubs about a potential transfer and are not looking to do so at this time, while Arsenal still see the England international as a huge part of their future.

The situation could change if Raya is firmly Arsenal’s number one by the time the January transfer window rolls around.

Sources have confirmed to 90min that Chelsea, who are looking for another goalkeeper for the long-term, are monitoring Ramsdale’s situation.

90min reported on Monday that the Blues are continuing to look at goalkeepers despite bringing in Robert Sanchez and Djordje Petrovic over the summer.

Porto’s Diogo Costa and Valencia’s Giorgi Mamardashvili, who were previously courted by Chelsea before they moved for Sanchez and Petrovic, remain on the club’s shortlist.
