More details have emerged in the barbaric murder of Anpe Pankyes, better known as Chop Boii.

The singer, who hails from Plateau State but lives in Abuja, was found murdered earlier this week at a residence at 62 Crescent, Gwarimpa.

A friend took to Twitter to reiterate that Chob Boii was not the target but he was simply caught up in the wrong place.

Chop Boii, his producer Beerolings, and the producer’s girlfriend Blessing were all found dead in the apartment on September 27.

The killing reportedly occurred on Monday, September 26.

According to the friend who gave an update on Twitter, the killers were allowed into the compound by the security guard because the producer has a mini studio in his living room and it was “routine” for people to come in.

In the house, the killers proceeded to attack everyone they saw.

Neighbours heard the victims scream and then heard people singing “Happy Birthday” so they dismissed the shouts as a rowdy birthday celebration.

After killing them, the killers washed up and left like nothing happened.

When Chop Boii’s girlfriend didn’t hear from him for a whole day, she called his friend who hadn’t heard from him too. Chop Boii’s sister also called the friend and when no one could account for Chop Boii’s whereabouts, they went to his producer’s house.

At the house, they noticed the door was not properly locked so they alerted the police.

When the police arrived, they met a gruesome scene.

Chop Boii was reportedly tied hands and legs and his head was bashed. Blessing was hacked to death. Beerolings had his head broken open and his brains on the floor, the friend claimed on Twitter.

The victims’ bodies had been badly mutilated and their left hands were chopped off.

With their blood, the killers wrote on the wall.

Chop Boii’s severed hand was reportedly used to write “Him” on the wall.

Another message on the wall reads: “We told them not to play with her.”

The friend said the Commissioner of Police and SCID have taken over the case.
