Design and Display

Xiaomi Poco M4 Pro features a stylish design available in Power Black, Cool Blue, and Poco Yellow. It features flat edges. The back and the frames are made of plastic with the front covered in Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

The fingerprint sensor is located on the side integrated on the power button. On the back you have three cameras and an LED flash. A dot-notch on the front houses the selfie camera.

Cameras

Xiaomi Poco M4 Pro offers great photography for its price. On the back you get three cameras consisting of a 64 megapixel wide-angle lens with an f/1.8 aperture, an 8 megapixel ultrawide angle lens with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 2 megapixels macro lens with an f/2.4 aperture.

The camera features HDR and phase detection autofocus for amazing photos that will keep those memories alive.

On the front, a 16 megapixels camera is provided for taking selfies. Both the front and rear cameras support 1080p Full HD video recording.

Hardware and Software

Xiaomi Poco M4 Pro opted for a Mediatek Helio G96 chipset built on a 12nm process. This is the same chipset we available in the Infinix Note 12 VIP, the Note 12 G96, the Note 12 Turbo, and the Tecno Camon 19 Pro.

The powerful processor clocks at up to 2.05GHz and delivers decent performance. You get the option of 6GB or 8GB LPDDR4X RAM for memory and 64GB, 128GB, or 256GB UFS 2.2 for built-in storage.

This combined with the 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate makes the Poco M4 Pro a decent gaming phone.

A non-removable 5000mAh battery which is supported by an 33W fast charging system is provided inside. Fully charged, you can play up to 22 hours of video. You can charge the battery from 0 to 100% in under 60 minutes.

On the software side, you get MIUI 13 for POCO user interface running on the Android 11 operating system out of the box.

Connectivity

The Xiaomi phone features a USB type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.0 and dual-band WiFi. This model does not support 5G. You only get 4G connectivity.

The 5G model is the Poco M4 Pro 5G but comes with some downgrades. If you want a 5G phone that matches the experience and performance of the M4 Pro, we would recommend the Xiaomi Poco X4 Pro 5G.
