Sen Adams Oshiomhole, the lawmaker representing Edo North Senatorial district has applauded the return of Philip Shaibu to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The former governor of Edo State descirbed it as the ‘nature of politics’.
TORI reported that the embattled Deputy Governor dumped the main opposition party at a campaign rally held on Saturday in the state.
Shaibu, at the rally, declared his official return to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He was received into the party by the APC’s governorship candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo and his running mate, Dennis Idahosa.
Shaibu also used the defection rally to reunite with his political godfather and a former APC National Chairman, Oshiomhole.
Recall that the duo fell out after Governor Godwin Obaseki and Shaibu’s second term win, which led them to quit the APC for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Despite returning to the APC after falling out with Obaseki, Oshiomhole, who spoke on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics, said Shaibu’s action is common in politics.
