The Deputy Chief Whip of the Delta State House of Assembly, Solomon Ighrakpata has claimed that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s emergence as Vice Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, is a true representation of the South-South and South-East Region of Nigeria.

In a statement, Ighrakpata who represents Uvwie Constituency noted that the choice of Okowa as Atiku’s VP, is well deserved.

Ighrakpata suggested that the pair of Atiku Abubakar could win the 202 general elections but that the party must work for its victory.

”What is required now is for all party leaders and supporters to put grievances behind them and work for the victory of PDP during the 2023 general elections”, he said.

He described the first step taken by the party’s Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar to meet with all the aspirants who contested with him during the primaries as a bold step, assuring that the party was working in the right direction towards victory in the next year’s general elections.

The Delta lawmaker congratulated Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on his emergence as the PDP Vice Presidential Candidate and noted that he has worked hard for the party over the years to deserve the slot.
