Obasanjo, Osinbajo, Others Pay Last Respects To Yar’Adua’s Mother

Ex-President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, the immediate past president, Yemi Osinbajo, Gov Babagana Zulum of Borno State alongside others paid a visit to Katsina State, on Thursday.

They were received by the Katsina State Governor, Mallam Dikko Radda.

The former president arrived at Umaru Yar’adua International Airport to offer condolences following the passing of Hajiya Dada Musa Yar’adua, mother of former President Umaru Musa Yar’adua.

Radda, accompanied by the grandson of the deceased, and former Minister of State for Defense, Murtala Yar’adua, as well as former Chief of Protocol to President Obasanjo, Inuwa Baba, received the distinguished visitors at the airport.

The delegation promptly proceeded to the Yar’adua family residence.

At the family home, Senator Abdulaziz Yar’adua, representing Katsina Zone, welcomed the former president and the governor. They were joined by renowned business tycoon, Dahiru Mangal.

Also, the former Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, and the Governor of Borno State, Prof. Babagana Zulum, journeyed to Katsina to offer their condolences to the family.

Recall that Hajiya Dada died at the Katsina Teaching Hospital on Monday evening at the age of 102.

Hajiya Dada was the mother of Umaru Musa Yar’adua, who served as President of Nigeria from 2007 until his death in 2010. She was known for her strong character and her influence on her son’s life and career.
