Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, has stated that President Bola Tinubu is focused on establishing a solid foundation for the nation’s economy.
Benjamin Kalu said this in his Independence Day message on Tuesday.
He stated that though the country has been through tough times, Nigerians must not forget the progress that has been made.
“Today, I congratulate all Nigerians as we celebrate 64 years of independence as a sovereign nation. Through trials and triumphs, we have continued to build this great country, nurturing our unique identity, resilience, and strength.
“Our path to nationhood has been challenging, but as we reflect on today’s Nigeria, we must recognize the progress we have made, even as we confront the ongoing challenges of nation-building. Our strength lies in our diversity, and despite the obstacles we face, we continue to forge ahead with determination.
“Under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC government is focused on establishing a solid foundation for an inclusive economy, strengthening our democratic institutions, addressing insecurity, and positioning Nigeria as a beacon of hope and progress,” Kalu stated.
The Deputy Speaker assured the commitment of the House of Reps to addressing the country’s challenges through legislation.
He advised youths to maintain faith in the country. He said the victory ahead would be greater than the struggles the citizens currently face.
Kalu continued, “The 10th House of Representatives remains resolute in our commitment to advancing legislation that prioritizes the welfare and well-being of every Nigerian. As we work toward a brighter future, I urge our youth and all citizens to maintain faith in our collective destiny. Do not let the whispers of doubt dim the flame of our national spirit.
“We are Nigerians, resilient, determined, and united. Together, we will overcome any challenge and build the prosperous nation we all envision. With hope in our hearts and resolve in our actions, I am confident that the victories ahead will be greater than the struggles behind us.”
