President Asiwaju Bola Tinubu met with women leaders from the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the State House on Thursday, July 13.
During the meeting, Tinubu expressed commitment to liberating Nigeria from influential forces that have hindered the country’s progress.
The president also conveyed his determination, stating, “Enough is enough, we are taking our country back.”
The meeting, which saw APC women leaders from the 36 states and Abuja led by APC National Woman Leader, Betta Edu, offered Tinubu an opportunity to assure them of his administration’s emphasis on industrialization, healthcare, and security.
According to him, “We have established a scholarship scheme that would guarantee their four years of tertiary education.” On the issue of security, the president noted that women are often the most affected by insecurity.”
He added, “We will ensure that health facilities are revamped and we will pursue this with vigour. Industrialisation is yet another priority as your children and relations will gain employment.”
In conclusion, President Tinubu acknowledged the women’s support during the 2023 elections, stating that they all deserve awards for their efforts.
He further stated while addressing the women leaders, “We will continue to strive for a better Nigeria. You will not regret your confidence in this administration.”
