Alhaji Saidu Barda and Muhammadu Buhari
Ex-Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari paid a visit to a former Governor of Katsina State, Alhaji Saidu Barda.
Buhari was accompanied by the State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda and some state government officials.
The former Nigerian leader had earlier visited business magnate, Alhaji Dahiru Barau Mangal, on a condolence visit over the death of his wife.
Recall that the wife of the businessman, Hajiya Aisha Dahiru Mangal, died at a hospital in Abuja on Saturday after a protracted illness and her remains had since been buried in Katsina on Sunday.
The husband has however continued to receive important dignitaries on condolence visits.
With Buhari on Wednesday during the visit were Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State as well the ex-president’s personal assistant, Tunde Sabiu.
The former president offered prayers for the repose of the soul of the deceased and for Allah to grant the Mangal family the fortitude to bear the loss.
Other important personalities who were in Katsina for a condolence visit to the Mangal family were Kano and Zamfara state governors, Engr Abba Kabir Yusuf, and Dr Lawal Dauda.
A delegation of the northern governors’ forum, led by their chairman, Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe state also paid a visit.
Also, the National Leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement and 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Engr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso paid a condolence visit to Mangal.
