Debo Adebayo, the famous Nigerian social critic and skit maker, who is better known as Mr Macaroni, has advised Lagos residents to be wary of those fanning the embers of tribal hatred, ahead of the Saturday gubernatorial election.
Mr Macaroni expressed sadness that some people were sharing inciting contents against tribes.
His statement is contained in a post via his verified Twitter handle.
He said people should not allow those pursuing their own interests cause hate among Nigerians.
“It’s sad to see people sharing inciting contents against tribes. We have been living together in unity. Doing business together and marrying ourselves.
“Do not let people, because of their own interests, cause hate among us.
“Let’s say No To Tribal Warfare!
“Let us Preach Peace,” he tweeted.
My people, those fanning the embers of warfare by sharing inciting messages aimed at provoking Yorubas and Igbos will not participate in the war.
They will leave the people to fight and destroy themselves.
Abeg let us wise up!!!
Make we no kill ourselves because of Politics! 🙏🏾
