A joint operation of security operatives has tracked and successfully rescued Hajiya Fatima Ibrahim who was abducted at her home town in Kiyawa Local Government Area, Jigawa State.
Jigawa State Police spokesperson, Lawan Shisu Adamu confirmed this to DAILY POST in Dutse.
Shiisu said Hajia Fatima was rescued at the Danladi Nasidi housing complex in Kumbotso Local Government Area of Kano State.
He said four suspects were also arrested and their two operational motor vehicles.
DAILY POST had reported that Hajia Fatima, mother of All Progressives Congress (APC) Jigawa Central senatorial candidate, Alhaji Tijjani Ibrahim Gaya, was abducted by gunmen on Monday evening at her home in Tsangayawa quarters, Kiyawa town, Jigawa State.
He said the victim was successfully rescued and was in good health.
The police spokesman said investigation is still going on.
