Bola Tinubu
Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, has dismissed reports that he ran off the stage at his campaign rally in Minna, Niger State.
Tinubu explained that the crowd that welcomed him was so massive that he had to address them briefly before attending other meetings in the state.
The APC flag bearer dismissed rumours that he hurriedly left the campaign stage due to his health condition.
He said the crowd at the rally was unprecedented.
He disclosed this through the spokesman of his campaign team, Bayo Onanuga.
A statement by Onanuga reads partly: “A massive crowd of APC supporters welcomed the presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to Minna on Wednesday, as he arrived for the mega rally.
“The cheering crowd was unprecedented, according to journalists at the Trade Fair Complex, venue of the rally.
“Tinubu, who held another successful rally in Kaduna on Tuesday, arrived in Minna in the evening of the same day for a series of meetings with APC leaders.”
Lately, some political stakeholders have questioned Tinubu’s health status.
They noted that Tinubu might not be able to function as Nigeria’s president due to his alleged failing health.
