The Boys Season 4 finale has a new title in the aftermath of the assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump.
The Season 4 finale was originally titled “Assassination Run.” Although the episode was written and filmed in 2023, Amazon, Sony, and The Boys producers changed the title to “Season Four Finale” and inserted a trigger warning because the show contains political violence similar to the real-life assassination attempt in Pennsylvania this past weekend.
“The season finale of The Boys contains scenes of fictional political violence, which some viewers may find disturbing, especially in light of the injuries and tragic loss of life sustained during the assassination attempt on former President Trump,” Amazon said in a statement. “The Boys is a fictitious series that was filmed in 2023, and any scene or plotline similarities to these real-world events are coincidental and unintentional.”
Amazon also included ” “viewer discretion advised” before the episode begins on Prime Video.

Throughout most of Season 4, Butcher (Karl Urban) and the rest of the anti-supe team have been plotting to kill Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit), the vice president-elect who secretly works for Vought as a superpowered assassin. The finale is the culmination of this assassination storyline.
The Boys also stars Antony Starr, Jack Quaid, Erin Moriarty, Laz Alonso, Karen Fukuhara, Tomer Capone, Cameron Crovetti, Jessie T. Usher, Chace Crawford, Colby Minifie, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Susan Heyward, and Valorie Curry.
Created by Eric Kripke, The Boys is one of Prime Video’s biggest shows. The Boys has been renewed for a fifth and final season. All episodes of Season 4 are now streaming on Prime Video.
