Art the Clown is decking the halls with blood and dismembered body parts in a new poster for Terrifier 3.
Per a tweet posted by DiscussingFilm, the first official poster sees Art the Clown getting into the Christmas spirit as he’s wearing Santa Claus’ face around his neck while holding a bloody axe.

The first Terrifier, written and directed by Damien Leone, was released in 2016. Operating with a minuscule budget of only $35,000, Terrifier quickly became a cult film praised for its extreme gore and for David Howard Thornton’s performance as Art the Clown.
Terrifier 2 followed in 2022. With Leone once again returning to write and direct, the sequel became an unexpected hit at the box office in the United States, as the movie made over $15 million with a $250,000 budget.
In May 2023, Thornton, Lauren LaVera (who played Sienna in Terrifier 2), Leone, and producer Phil Falcone were all announced to be returning for Terrifier 3. A first look at Terrifier 3 was offered to fans when Terrifier 2 returned to theaters at the start of November 2023.
Leone previously told JoBlo that Terrifier 3 would have an extremely “controversial” opening scene that most major Hollywood studios would’ve never approved.
“Mark my words, I guarantee you the first 5 minutes of this movie is going to be very controversial,” said Leone. “But that’s not even the big kill scene. So like that’s why I was like, I need to just make this movie on my own, because it’s just too…it’s too insane.”
Leone also told ComingSoon, “I don’t have a studio looking over my shoulder, which is great because I realized it was going to happen. I spoke to some major Hollywood studios who were very interested, but I was just too apprehensive to hand it over to them. Too many red flags. Even those there’s an allure to a Hollywood Terrifier, big time, I had to stick to my guns and stick to what made it work in the first place.”
Terrifier 3 hits United States theaters on October 25, 2024, from Cineverse and Bloody Disgusting.
