Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu Movie Adds The Crown’s Emma Corrin

Emmy winner Emma Corrin has been tapped to star opposite Lily Rose-Depp and Bill Skarsgård in Robert Eggers’ long-in-development reimagining of Nosferatu, based on the classic gothic tale of the same name.

According to Deadline, further details about their role are still being kept under wraps. Corrin will also be joining previously announced cast members Nicholas Hoult (Renfield) and Willem Dafoe (Shadow of the Vampire).

Corrin gained recognition for their breakout role as Princess Diana in the fourth season of the acclaimed Netflix drama The Crown. They recently starred opposite Harry Styles in My Policeman and Jack O’Connell in Lady Chatterley’s Lover. They will next be see on the FX limited drama Retreat, where they will play an amateur detective named Darby Hart.

“In the new reimagining, the film is a gothic tale of obsession between a haunted young woman in 19th century Germany and the ancient Transylvanian vampire who stalks her, bringing untold horror with him,” reads the synopsis.

Focus Features’ Nosferatu will be written and directed by Robert Eggers. The horror thriller will star Nicholas Hoult (Renfield), Lily Rose-Depp (The King), and Bill Skarsgard (It films).

The project is being produced by Eggers, Jeff Robinov, John Graham, and Eleanor Columbus. Eggers’ long-time collaborator Anya Taylor-Joy (The Witch) was initially attached to lead when it was first announced in 2016.
