We are debuting an exclusive Rippy trailer, previewing the upcoming zombie kangaroo horror movie set for release later this year.
The trailer leans heavily on its chaotic premise, with a group of hunters trying to track down a killer kangaroo that’s been infected with some sort of virus. Rippy is set to release in the U.S. in theaters and on video-on-demand services beginning on October 18, 2024.

Rippy comes from director Ryan Coonan from a script co-written by Coonan and Richard Barcaricchio. The film is based on the pair’s short film Waterbone, which was originally produced in 2014 and had a successful festival circuit, where it played at Fantastic Fest, Fantasia, and more.
The film stars Michael Biehn, Tess Haubrich, Angie Milliken, and Aaron Pederson and was shot entirely in Australia. “Rippy follows Maddy (Tess Haubrich), a young sheriff who is obsessed with living up to her deceased father’s legacy,” reads the film’s synopsis. “When the town’s residents are found ripped to bits by an unknown creature, Maddy works with her uncle Schmitty (Michael Biehn) and aunt Donna (Angie Milliken) to track down the undead beast before it leaves a trail of carnage.”
