Lionsgate has announced the Now You See Me 3 release date with the Jesse Eisenberg-led threequel out in 2025.
The magic-themed franchise is set to battle several other high profile movies in the November 2025 window. Now You See Me 3 is pencilled in for November 14, 2024.
That sees it currently up against Zootopia 2, Wicked: Part Two, Marvel’s Blade and Yorgos Lanthimos’ Bugonia that month.
No doubt Lionsgate is confident about its chances. The first two movies in the series have already conjured up almost $700 million worldwide. Now You See Me 3 will continue the story of thieving magicians known as The Four Horseman. However, no plot details are known for the latest entry at this time. It will have been nine years since Now You See Me 2 by the time the third movie arrives. That is of course, if it holds its date.
Now You See Me 3 will see Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, and Morgan Freeman all returning. New cast members inclue Justice Smith, Dominic Sssa, Ariana Greenblatt and Rosamund Pike.
The film will be directed by Ruben Fleischer (Venom, Zombieland) and is written by Michael Leslie (The Hunger Games), Seth Grahame-Smith (The Lego Batman Movie), and Eric Warren Singer (Top Gun: Maverick). It’s produced by Bobby Cohen and Alex Kurtzman who also produced previous entries.
