Loot is one of Apple TV’s latest comedy series. Co-created by Matt Hubbard and Alan Yang, the comedy drama combines a rich woman’s light-hearted antics with her difficult journey to self-discovery.
Loot follows billionaire Molly Novak (Maya Rudolph) after she divorces her unfaithful husband (Adam Scott). She throws herself into charity work with the director of her foundation, Sofia Salinas (MJ Rodriguez)–but can someone as self-absorbed as Molly learn what it is to be a good person?
We have ongoing coverage of Loot across the site, including episode recaps and a full season review.
At the time of writing, Loot HAS been renewed for a second season. The big names of its creators and stars make it no surprise that Apple TV decided to renew this series only halfway through its release.
We’ll be sure to update this section with more details over the coming weeks and months!
Apple only announced Loot’s renewal earlier in July, so not much is known about the series’ sequel yet.
Considering the way season 1 ended, we will likely see more of Adam Scott playing a major force in Molly’s life as John Novak. Now that Molly has decided to give up all of her money, there will be a new world for her to navigate. Is she going to be up to the task? Or even true to her word? We will find out in season 2 of Loot!
