Mia Goth has spoken about her involvement in Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein, saying it’s ‘’Everything that she wanted it to be and more.’’
Goth is playing the Bride in the movie, which sees del Toro finally paying tribute to a story he cherishes.
Speaking to Total film during promotion for Ti west’s MaXXXine, Goth was asked about working with del Toro on the latest adaptation of Mary Shelley’s classic horror tale.
”It’s been amazing,” said the Pearl actor. ”It’s everything I wanted it to be and more. I love Guillermo, andI love working with him. He’s, you know, he’s an incredible director, everyone know’s that, but he’s also such a wonderful person and yeah, I’m very excited.”
Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein will star Goth alongside Oscar Isaac as the Monster and Andrew Garfield as Dr. Frankenstein. Ralph Ineson also has what del Toro calls ”a pivotal cameo” in the film.
It also stars Christoph Waltz, Felix Kammerer, Lars Mikkelsen, David Bradley, Christian Convery, and Charles Dance.
It’s not the only Frankenstein adaptation out there right now. We only recently had Zelda Williams’ Lisa Frankenstein, and last year’s Birth/Rebirth put a different modern spin on the story.
Maggie Gyllenhaal, meanwhile, is also working on a Frankenstein movie called The Bride!, which stars Christian Bale, Penelope Cruz, Peter Sarsgaard, Jessie Buckley, Annette Bening, Julianne Hough, John Magaro, and Jeannie Berlin.
Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein currently has no release date.
