Following its premiere in theaters just under a month ago, the third entry in the Magic Mike franchise has a home release date, as well as the chance for fans to own the film early.
Warner Bros. announced on Tuesday that Magic Mike’s Last Dance Blu-ray and DVD release date is April 18, 2023. However, those looking to own the film early can do so via Premium Digital Ownership, which will let people buy the film starting today for $24.99 digitally, or rent the film via premium video-on-demand services for $19.99, which gives you 48 hours of access to the film.
For those waiting until the home release in April, Magic Mike’s Last Dance will feature the option to enable “Filmmaker Mode,” which disables all post-processing like motion smoothing, preserves the correct aspect ratios, colors, and frame rates, and enables your TV to display the film as intended by the filmmaker. It’s important to note, however, that Filmmaker Mode is only available on certain televisions from certain manufacturers. Special features include a deleted scene and a featurette titled “Magic Mike’s New Moves.”
“‘Magic’ Mike Lane (Tatum) takes to the stage again after a lengthy hiatus, following a business deal that went bust, leaving him broke and taking bartender gigs in Florida,” reads the film’s synopsis. “For what he hopes will be one last hurrah, Mike heads to London with a wealthy socialite (Hayek Pinault) who lures him with an offer he can’t refuse … and an agenda all her own. With everything on the line, once Mike discovers what she truly has in mind, will he — and the roster of hot new dancers he’ll have to whip into shape — be able to pull it off?”
Magic Mike’s Last Dance is directed by Steven Soderbergh from a screenplay written by Reid Carolin. Joining Tatum and Hayek Pinault are Ayub Khan Din (Ackley Bridge), newcomer Jemelia George, Juliette Motamed (We Are Lady Parts), and Vicki Pepperdine (Johnny English Strikes Again).
