Hysteria Trailer: Julie Bowen & Bruce Campbell Star in Peacock Horror Series

Peacock has released the official Hysteria trailer for its newest horror-thriller series led by Julie Bowen (Modern Family) and Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead). All eight episodes will be available for streaming on October 18.

What happens in the Hysteria trailer?

The video features a high school heavy metal band who become Satanists to gain attention while strange occurrences plague their town. The trailer also teases the consequences of the band’s decision as the adults contemplate whether they have a real connection to the recent crimes.

“When a beloved varsity quarterback disappears during the ‘Satanic Panic’ of the late 1980s, a struggling high school heavy metal band of outcasts realize they can capitalize on the town’s sudden interest in the occult by building a reputation as a Satanic metal band, until a bizarre series of murders, kidnappings, and reported ‘supernatural activity’ triggers a leather-studded witch hunt that leads directly back to them,” reads the official logline.

Hysteria! is written and executive produced by Matthew Scott Kane and David A. Goodman. The series also stars Anna Camp, Emjay Anthony, Chiara Aurelia, Kezii Curtis, Nikki Hahn, Garret Dillahunt, Nolan North, Elijah Richardson, Milly Shapiro, Allison Scagliotti and Jessica Treska. It is executive produced by John Francis Daley, Jonathan Goldstein, Chris Bender, Jake Weiner, and Jordan Vogt-Roberts, with latter also directing. It is a production by UCP.
